The 2006 AFL match in London took place on Saturday October 21, with Geelong taking on Port Adelaide.
In 2005 the inaugural EU Cup was held the day after the AFL match and was a great success, with 10 teams taking part.
In 2006 it was proposed instead to organise a conference of stakeholders in European footy.
The Aussie Rules Europe Conference took place at Sport England in London on Sunday 22nd October. The aim was to discuss how we can adopt a more unified and coordinated approach to developing Australian football in Europe in future.
